About

Relational Frame Theory (RFT) is a modern behavioral account of language and cognition that explains how humans learn and use relational networks (e.g., "bigger than," "opposite of") through derived relational responding. This introductory course will provide behavior analysts with a foundational understanding of RFT, its key principles, and its applications in both research and practice, emphasizing its relevance to applied behavior analysis (ABA). Duration: 50 Minutes Date: Friday January 24th 2025 at 3PM EST Learning Objectives: Describe the basic principles of Relational Frame Theory, including mutual entailment, combinatorial entailment, and transformation of stimulus functions. Recognize examples of relational frames in everyday language and behavior and explain their significance within applied behavior analysis. Explore how RFT principles can be incorporated into intervention strategies to promote complex language and cognitive skills in clients.
